“This campsite is one of our favorites during our 3 month trip across South Africa. The site is beautifully landscaped with a green lawn and some large and small trees, flowering plants and a pond where four friendly white ducks live. The showers and toilets are very neat and inviting. You can do very nice hikes, the sea with its beautiful, wild beach is not far away either. There is a farm stall just across the road with a cute little cafe where you can have breakfast or order small dishes. There you can also buy the most important groceries such as vegetables, cheese, sausage, bread and cakes, most of which are self-produced on the farm. The campsite has a wonderfully calm atmosphere. But the best thing is the people who work and live there. Dennis the owner is one of the warmest, funniest and most helpful people we have encountered. We felt very welcome and at home. If we weren’t close to the end of our journey (and our South Africa visa) we would still be standing there today. We can absolutely recommend this place and will stay longer than two nights next time. You can definitely spend a week here and relax. Thank you for your hospitality!” Nadja Strohmeier, March 2022

“Tsitsikama Sunrise Caravan Park is a beautiful place situated in Natures Valley and a relatively short drive to the Natures Valley Beach and easy access to some spectacular hiking trails.

“What an amazing night we spend at the camping.We arrived quit late without any preparations for dinner. Since nothing was open anymore, Gina and her friend offered to prepare some food,just wonderful. Afterwards we took a warm bath and had a very comfortable night in our glamping tent. “If you have any doubts about this place, don’t! Tsitsikamma Sunrise is fantastic! The campsite has lovely large trees that provide shade for a number of the sites and the entire area is covered in beautiful green grass. The bathrooms are lovely and will leave you feeling spoiled as a camper! I was so impressed by the effort that was put into both the design of bathrooms and the fittings used in them- they are definitely the best I’ve seen as a well-seasoned camper. What impressed me most however was how accommodating Dennis (the owner) was when I phoned him at the very last minute asking if he had any space left in the middle of the peak season. He happily arranged a lovely spot overlooking the dam………Dennis works tirelessly to keep the place in top shape, sees to any problems you have immediately and goes to great lenghts to make sure everyone is happy.
